  • A routine inspection uncovered significant deterioration in a primary roof support beam at the Hippach Field grandstand, prompting immediate safety concerns.
  • Town officials requested that Wentworth Partners & Associates (WPA) of Skowhegan inspect the structure within 48 hours.
  • During the assessment, Chris Bugay and David Govoni discovered extensive internal rot within a primary roof support beam, leaving only about 3 inches of semi-sound wood supporting the roof.
  • WPA performed a detailed structural evaluation to help the town understand the condition of the grandstand and determine the next steps.
