@ Bog Brook in Ebeemee Township, Maine

  • 40 foot bridge.
  • Replaced a 40 foot bridge structure that addressed an undersized culvert causing a flow restriction.
  • Eliminated a hydraulic choke point that limited movement of aquatic species.
  • Designed the new structure to accommodate 500-year storm flows and improve flood resilience.  
  • Restored safe wildlife passage beneath the roadway, improving both hydraulic performance and ecological connectivity.

  • 70 foot bridge.
  • Replaced a bridge that could no longer accommodate increasing storm flows, resulting in road closures and abutment scour. 
  • Designed the new structure to meet 500-year storm (0.2% annual chance) flow requirements.
  • Wildlife activity within the passageways was documented during final inspection.
